Gin Fizz

Gin Fizz

Whip up a sparkling gin fizz cocktail (or perhaps a couple) when hosting guests. With only a few ingredients, you can craft a rejuvenating beverage that brings forth the essence of summer.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Meraki Original Dry Gin
  • 25ml lemon juice
  • 2 tsp sugar syrup
  • ice
  • sparkling water
  • lemon slice

Add the Dry Gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker and load it with ice cubes. Vigorously shake until the shaker's exterior is chilly. Strain the mix into a tall glass brimming with additional ice and complete with sparkling water. Finish off with a slice of lemon as garnish.

Tip 1 - how to make sugar syrup

To prepare sugar syrup, combine 200g of white caster sugar with 100ml of water in a saucepan. Warm it on a low heat until the sugar is fully dissolved and it begins to simmer. Once done, switch off the heat and let it cool prior to use. Preserve it in a sanitised bottle for a maximum of one week.

Tip 2 - for froth

To give it an extra touch, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup in the cocktail shaker. Rather than adding ice, introduce 1 egg white. Vigorously shake to create a frothy blend. Afterward, incorporate ice and shake once more. Ensure you double strain before topping off with sparkling water.
